Drive Clean Colorado is excited to highlight one of our members, ROA Energy. ROA Energy is a company focused on providing mobile, solar-powered charging stations to address limitations in the EV charging network. Their mobile charging stations can be rented to provide EV charging in remote locations like trailheads, for events with limited charging stations, or to fill in gaps in areas with out-of-service chargers. It is a service that individuals or organizations can use to provide temporary charging solutions in any location.
We spoke with the Founder of ROA Energy, Jeremy Abraham. He told us about how ROA Energy is working to engage customers, expand its impact, and how his partnership with Drive Clean Colorado (DCC) has helped with achieving these goals.
*Note these responses are summarized from an interview with Jeremy Abraham of ROA Energy
Who are you and what is your role at ROA Energy?
My name is Jeremy Abraham, and I am the Founder of ROA Energy. What my role consists of changes daily. I am a one-man army, so I am the communications team, I am the engineer, I am the drafter, designer, purchasing agent, media relations, I do a bit of everything.
What are you currently working on at ROA Energy? Has DCC been able to support you in any of these efforts?
Mobile charging units are a new idea, and many people are not familiar with the concept. I have been working hard at public outreach and education to inform the public that this solution exists. DCC has helped me a lot already to create connections with new customers and other people in the EV charging industry. The in-person community events have been especially useful to display my mobile charging unit and talk to people who are interested in learning about my business.
What are the next steps for your organization?
Right now, the next steps are to build a comprehensive business plan. I am working with advisors and mentors to set goals and work on publicity and outreach. My prototype for the mobile charging station is complete, so my next step is to spread the word and find more customers.
How does partnering with Drive Clean Colorado help you work towards your goals?
Drive Clean Colorado is the premier EV advocacy organization in Colorado. It’s the one with the most connections and the one with the most experience. The wealth of connections and experience has helped me to feel like I fit into this growing ecosystem. I have already connected with people through stakeholder meetings and at community events where I have also met potential customers. DCC has the connections and the expertise.
Where can people connect with you next?
I am active on the ROA Energy social media accounts, and you can also contact me through my website or by email. I plan on attending DCC events like the Coalition Conversations meetings and the Drive Clean Summit and Expo which is taking place February 26-27, 2025.
