[Lakewood, Colorado]  Mintz Law Firm, in partnership with its building owner, 605 Parfet, LLC, is proud to participate in Colorado’s electrification efforts by installing four Blink EV charging ports for public use. This investment reflects Mintz Law Firm’s commitment to the Lakewood community, which has supported the firm for more than 40 years.

The idea for the project grew directly from the community itself. Mintz Law Firm staff began hearing frequent questions from clients, employees, building guests, and passersby asking where nearby EV chargers were located. Seeing an opportunity to serve both current and future EV drivers, the firm partnered with their local ReCharge coaches to take advantage of available state and utility funding.

Funding support from the Colorado Energy Office’s Charge Ahead Colorado and Xcel Energy’s EVSI/EVSE grant programs played a critical role in bringing the project to fruition.

“This project provides much-needed EV charging access in a part of Lakewood that has been historically underserved,” said David Mintz, founder of Mintz Law Firm. “We’re pleased to offer charging for our clients, employees, and the broader community. Lakewood and Jefferson County have been great to us over the years, and we hope this project gives something back—making daily life a little more convenient while supporting Colorado’s clean transportation goals.”

With a well-lit parking lot, space for accessibility-designed charging stalls, and clear demand from both the staff and the surrounding community, Mintz Law Firm was ready to act.

“This project is a fantastic example of what can happen when all the right pieces come together,” said Jenna Wyatt, Program Manager at Drive Clean Colorado. “You have a local champion listening to employees and customers, a site located along a major travel corridor, and committed partners—from the site owner to the Colorado Energy Office—all moving in the same direction to deliver real benefits for the community.”

The Charge Ahead Colorado program accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Organizations interested in implementing workplace charging are encouraged to connect with their regional ReCharge Coach for guidance and support.
