Meet the Team: Julia Davila

March 27, 2025

Meet Julia Davila, our Communications Specialist!

Julia is the Communications Specialist at Drive Clean Colorado. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. After interning with DCC in 2020, Julia was hired full-time to expand DCC’s work in consumer electric vehicle adoption and event planning and has worked a variety of roles within the non-profit throughout the years. She now works part-time for DCC, and loves the ability and flexibility to support the team and our stakeholders towards our  common goal of reducing emissions and improving air quality. Outside of work, she’s probably on the trail with her Golden Retriever or planning her next outdoor adventure.

Can you tell us about your experience/role and how long have you been working with Drive Clean Colorado?

Currently, I support all internal and external communications tasks, which means helping our team, stakeholders and members find and distribute information in the most effective and easily understood manner. I also occasionally support the team with event planning, which used to be a larger part of my role with Drive Clean Colorado, who I’ve been with since 2020.

I started as an intern with Drive Clean Colorado in 2020, and have worked a variety of roles relating to electric vehicle education and coaching, event planning, our volunteer program, and now, communications.

What sparked your interest to work in the clean transportation space?

I’ve always been interested in ways that we can protect our environment, and the transportation space is one of the largest contributor to greenhouse gases. As someone who loves the outdoors, I want clean air and blue skies in our beautiful outdoor spaces, and working to improve transportation and transition to cleaner fuel sources the way to do that.

What is one project or initiative you enjoy working on?

I love seeing collateral come to life! A lot of the information we receive can be overwhelming and putting it into a format that looks professional, easy to read, and more digestible is such a satisfying process to work on.

Is there anything you’d like to share about yourself?

While I’m not an EV driver (yet!) my partner and I have been sharing a car for years. I think those kinds of solutions that fit your lifestyle, budget, and/or driving needs are the most important ones and can make a huge impact for our planet! We can all make a difference in our own way and it’s crucial to remember that it can look different for everyone.
