Funding can help move clean transportation projects forward, from expanding EV charging access to supporting fleet electrification and community mobility. The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) offers several funding opportunities for organizations and individuals across Colorado, with options for projects at different stages.
Here are six programs to explore, including current application opportunities, upcoming funding rounds, and year-round incentives.
Charge Ahead Colorado
Deadline: October 16, 2026, at 5 p.m. MT | Rolling applications available year-round
Charge Ahead Colorado offers approximately $3 million per round to support Level 2 and DC fast-charging infrastructure for businesses, multifamily housing, governments, nonprofits, and other eligible applicants. The standard and Multifamily Housing Portfolio Lane applications close October 16, while eligible projects requesting $50,000 or less for Level 2 charging and/or charging outlets can apply year-round.
EV Home Charge
Applications: October 13–November 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. MT
EV Home Charge offers electric cooperatives and municipal utilities up to $350,000 to provide rebates for residential electrical panel and wiring upgrades needed for EV charging, including enhanced incentives for income-qualified customers. The program helps address a common barrier to home charging, particularly in older homes.
DCFC Plazas
Deadline: November 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. MT
The Direct Current Fast-Charging (DCFC) Plazas program expects to make approximately $14 million available in the current round to expand high-speed charging access in Colorado communities and along highway corridors. Eligible businesses, public institutions, tribal entities, and nonprofits can explore funding supported by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program and Community Access Enterprise (CAE).
Fleet-ZERO EV Charging Grant
Next application rounds: November 16, 2026–January 15, 2027 | Rolling applications available year-round
Fleet-ZERO provides approximately $5 million–$10 million annually for EV charging infrastructure supporting light-, medium-, and heavy-duty fleets, including on-road and off-road vehicles. The standard and medium- and heavy-duty corridor rounds open November 16, while eligible projects requesting $50,000 or less can apply through the rolling option year-round.
Vehicle Exchange Colorado
Year-round program
Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) helps income-qualified Coloradans replace eligible older or high-emitting vehicles with EVs through a rebate applied toward the upfront cost of a purchase or lease from an authorized dealer. The program may be a useful resource for community organizations and stakeholders helping residents learn about EV access and available incentives.

Community Accelerated Mobility Project (CAMP)
Next funding rounds anticipated in 2026–2027
CAMP offers grants of up to $75,000 for technical readiness planning and up to $1 million for implementation of community-led mobility projects that include an electric mobility component. The Community Access Enterprise and CEO anticipate opening new application rounds for both phases in 2026–2027, giving eligible local and tribal governments, nonprofits, schools, school districts, and universities an opportunity to plan for future funding.
