Drive Clean Colorado is hitting the road this summer (our scenic byways to be exact!) to hear directly from rural and gateway communities across the state. As part of the multi-state ChargeWest™ initiative, these community listening sessions are designed to better understand local needs, barriers, and opportunities for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and clean transportation access.
ChargeWest is a regional effort focused on building a connected network of EV charging corridors across eight Intermountain West states, including Colorado. By prioritizing rural communities, national and state parks, scenic byways, and recreation areas, the project aims to ensure clean mobility reaches the places that need it most. Drive Clean Colorado is leading Colorado’s efforts by engaging local leaders, residents, and organizations to learn where charging gaps exist and what resources are needed to support a cleaner, more resilient transportation future.
Community input is critical to making sure infrastructure investments reflect real-world needs. Whether you’re a city planner, business owner, fleet operator, or concerned resident, your voice will help shape Colorado’s clean transportation landscape. Upcoming listening sessions will take place in Brush on June 12 and Salida on June 17 — with more locations to come. We invite you to join the conversation and share your insights.
