Are you passionate about creating more equitable transportation options in Fort Collins? Do you want to help shape the future of mobility for underserved communities in the city? If so, we invite you to join us for a special listening session hosted by Drive Clean Colorado and Fort Collins Utilities, with a focus on creating an Equity Advisory Committee.
What’s Happening?
Drive Clean Colorado, in collaboration with Fort Collins Utilities, is hosting a community listening session focused on addressing transportation challenges and opportunities in Fort Collins. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas on how we can improve access to clean, reliable, and affordable transportation options for everyone—regardless of income, location, or mobility needs.
In addition to your valuable input on transportation issues, this session will also serve as a platform to identify potential members for a newly formed Equity Advisory Committee. This committee will play a vital role in ensuring that Fort Collins Utilities considers the needs of underserved communities when making transportation decisions.
Whether you’re a resident who faces transportation barriers, a community leader, or someone who cares about social equity, we want to hear from you. Together, we can explore potential solutions for making mobility more inclusive, affordable, and sustainable for everyone in our community

Why Attend?
Transportation is essential for accessing education, employment, healthcare, and other critical services. Unfortunately, many members of our community still face significant barriers to reliable and affordable transportation. These challenges disproportionately affect low-income families, people with disabilities, communities of color, and others who are underserved by current infrastructure.
This listening session will focus on:
- Current transportation barriers faced by underserved communities in Fort Collins
- Opportunities for improvement in public transportation, electric vehicle access, biking and walking infrastructure, and more
- The role of Fort Collins Utilities in supporting sustainable transportation solutions, such as expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure and promoting alternative transportation options.
- Creative solutions for making mobility more inclusive, affordable, and sustainable for everyone in our community
- Recruiting representatives from underserved communities to serve on the Equity Advisory Committee
Your voice matters in this process! By participating, you’ll play an important role in helping to identify the issues that need attention and the solutions that could make the most impact.
How Can You Get Involved?
- Attend the Event: Come prepared to share your experiences and ideas. Whether you use public transit, walk or bike around the city, or drive yourself, your input is valuable in creating a more inclusive and accessible transportation system.
- Spread the Word: Know someone who is impacted by transportation challenges? Encourage them to attend and make their voice heard.
- Follow Up: If you can’t attend the session but still want to share your thoughts, we’ll provide opportunities to submit feedback online or through other channels.
