Interns
Drive Clean Colorado is looking for interns who have a passion for equitable and sustainable transportation. We need team members who are collaborative and ready to put their problem-solving skills to work. If you are interested in clean transportation and clean air for all Coloradans and want a chance to learn and grow with our team and our coalition stakeholders, we want to hear from you.
As part of our small team, you will help shape an intern experience that meets your educational goals and gain hands-on experience with everything from zero-emission vehicles and transportation infrastructure to ride & drive events and community education.
There may be multiple positions open for Summer 2026 internships:
- Outreach Interns with a focus on events like ride & drives, expos and conferences, and other outreach opportunities
- Regional Interns with a focus on our work in various areas – Fort Collins and Northern Colorado, Colorado Springs and East Central Colorado, Pueblo and Southeast Colorado
- Communications Interns with a focus on public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement and communications
Responsibilities
- Assist in current project development and the rollout of new clean transportation projects.
- Support educational outreach and events such as EV ride & drives and road shows — including planning, promotion, and attending events around the state (expenses covered).
- Help plan and support the Drive Clean Summit & Expo.
- Assist with technology and infrastructure analysis and support EV and EV charging coaching efforts.
- Measure and report on initiatives and projects; analyze survey data from events and other activities.
- Develop newsletter articles and blog posts; help develop social media content.
- Engage with stakeholders and communities.
Qualifications

Project Coordinator
DCC’s Project Coordinator supports the execution of projects that advance our mission and strategic plan. This is an entry-level role focused on task coordination, logistics, and communication — helping ensure projects move forward on schedule and that stakeholders stay informed.
The Project Coordinator works under the direction of Project Managers and program leads, contributing to a range of project areas including transportation electrification, infrastructure development, grants and incentives technical assistance, community engagement, workforce development, and EV awareness.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are important, as is a willingness to engage across the full DCC team.

Project Manager
DCC’s Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and completing defined projects that advance our mission and strategic plan. This position focuses on implementation — managing timelines, deliverables, budgets, reporting requirements, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful completion of assigned initiatives.
The Project Manager operates within established program goals and strategic direction set by organizational leadership. This role ensures projects are completed efficiently, on time, and on budget while maintaining strong communication with internal team members and external stakeholders.

DCC’s Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and advancing a portfolio of strategic initiatives within an assigned region, program area, or specialty. This role ensures alignment across multiple projects, drives long-term program growth, and manages key initiatives directly to deliver measurable impact.
The Program Manager operates at both strategic and tactical levels — setting direction, identifying opportunities, overseeing budgets and partnerships, and directly managing priority projects within their portfolio. Communications & Operations Manager
Drive Clean Colorado is seeking a highly organized and motivated professional to join our team as Communications & Operations Manager. This position ensures smooth organizational operations and amplifies our mission through strong communications. The role provides direct support to the Executive Director, manages financial and operational processes, and leads communications to engage stakeholders and grow DCC’s visibility.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and able to balance behind-the-scenes management with outward-facing storytelling. Nonprofit experience — including working with boards, financial processes, and communications platforms — is strongly desired.
This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with contractors, staff, and board members. The role is based in Colorado with flexibility for hybrid work in Northern Colorado or remote work statewide, and includes regular in-person meetings and events across the state.
Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, travel, meeting prep, and board communications.
- Partner with the Executive Director to set priorities, align projects with strategic goals, and coordinate organizational strategy.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting in partnership with bookkeeper and finance contractors.
- Support HR functions including onboarding, recordkeeping, and compliance in partnership with people operations contractors.
- Develop and manage organizational systems, calendars, and event logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Communications
