Can you tell us more about who you are and your role at Enertech Energy?
Hi, I’m Jarret Flack, the VP of Operations at Enertech Energy. While my title says VP of Operations, my role spans across nearly every part of our business. We’re a small but dedicated team, which means we all wear multiple hats and stay involved in just about everything—from planning and development to hands-on site work and community engagement. I thrive on being part of each step of the process, and I take pride in building relationships, solving problems, and making sure our projects not only succeed but serve the communities we’re working in.
Can you provide a brief overview of the work your organization does?
Enertech is an energy solutions company that’s been serving Northern Colorado for over 15 years. We originally built our reputation on LED retrofitting, helping businesses and organizations improve their energy efficiency and lower their costs. Since then, we’ve expanded into solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and, most recently, EV charging development and operations. Our mission is to provide practical, forward-thinking energy solutions that help our clients adapt to a cleaner, more electrified future. Whether it’s helping a business reduce energy usage or bringing EV infrastructure to a multifamily property, our work is all about building smarter energy systems for the long term.
How is your organization working to improve electrification efforts and accelerate the adoption of EVs?
Over the past year, we’ve focused heavily on building out EV charging infrastructure throughout Colorado. We’ve seen firsthand that access is a major barrier for many potential EV drivers—especially in multifamily housing or areas outside of major metro hubs. Our approach has been to take the burden off property owners by fully managing the installation, operations, and maintenance of EV charging stations. We believe that the more seamless we can make the process for communities and businesses, the faster we’ll see EV adoption grow. Our goal is simple: make charging more accessible, more reliable, and more widespread—especially in underserved areas.
What are the next steps for your organization?
Looking ahead, our top priority is continuing to expand a dependable and user-friendly charging network across Colorado. One of the biggest concerns for EV drivers is pulling up to a charger that’s broken or offline. We want to eliminate that uncertainty. Our next steps are all about consistency, reliability, and scale—building out infrastructure that people can trust. We’re also looking to form new partnerships with cities, businesses, and housing communities to ensure that charging access grows alongside EV adoption. As more people make the switch to electric, we want to make sure the infrastructure is there to support them.
What projects are you currently working on and which are you working with DCC on?
Right now, we’re actively developing several EV charging sites across Northern Colorado—everything from multifamily residences and senior communities to churches and local businesses. We’re proud to be working closely with Drive Clean Colorado on a number of these, whether that’s direct collaboration or providing guidance to their contacts who are exploring EV charging solutions. We’re always happy to consult, assist, and jump in wherever needed. Our shared goal is to expand clean transportation access, and we see DCC as a key partner in identifying projects and stakeholders who align with that mission.
How does partnering with Drive Clean Colorado help you work towards your goals?
Partnering with Drive Clean Colorado has been incredibly valuable. They understand the landscape of clean transportation and electrification in Colorado, and they’ve done a great job connecting us with organizations and individuals who are genuinely motivated to make a change. Their support has helped us move projects forward faster, and their introductions have opened doors we might not have accessed on our own. It’s clear that they’re invested in real progress and having them in our corner makes a big difference as we work to grow our impact.
Why are you a member with Drive Clean Colorado?
We share DCC’s vision for a cleaner, more sustainable Colorado, and we want to be part of making that happen. Being a member means we’re aligned with a network of professionals and organizations working toward the same goals. It gives us a chance to contribute, collaborate, and stay informed on policy, funding, and innovation in the clean transportation space. Ultimately, we see it as a partnership that’s helping us grow and helping the state move closer to a more electrified and environmentally responsible future.
