On June 20, 2026, Drive Clean Colorado had the pleasure of partnering with Monarca Group for the Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs.
As part of the celebration, DCC partnered with Phil Long Ford and Tesla to bring electric vehicles to the event. Attendees could experience ride-and-drives in a Tesla Cybertruck and Tesla Model 3, explore display vehicles like the Ford F-150 Lightning, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and a Volkswagen ID.4, and connect with DCC staff to ask questions and learn more about EVs.
The day was filled with celebration, connection, and community. Our team connected with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. Some were already enthusiastic about electric vehicles; some were skeptical, and others were simply excited for the chance to drive a Cybertruck for the first time.
With live music playing and the aroma of food filling the air, attendees enjoyed a vibrant community celebration while learning more about transportation options and programs available today. Despite the hot sun and persistent wind, DCC staff interacted with around 30 attendees and facilitated 9 ride-and-drive experiences.
Throughout the day, our team had the opportunity to meet people at all stages of their EV journey. One family stopped by looking for an EV that would best fit their lifestyle, sharing that rising gas prices caused them to limit their driving until they were able to purchase or lease an electric vehicle. Another attendee, an older gentleman, admitted he felt EVs were “too high-tech” and wasn’t sure he wanted to learn something new. After taking a Tesla out for a test drive, he experienced the technology firsthand in a welcoming, no-pressure environment.
Another family stopped by with a son who was not yet old enough to drive but seemed to know everything there was to know about electric vehicles. We stood by ready to help, but it quickly became clear that the family’s resident EV expert already had things covered.
These conversations are what Ride & Drive events are all about. Whether someone arrives excited about EVs, simply curious, or even skeptical, Drive Clean Colorado is here to answer questions, share resources, and provide a chance to experience the technology firsthand in a welcoming, no-pressure environment. Reach out to our team for any of your EV needs or questions.

Drive Clean Colorado is grateful to Monarca Group and the Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival organizers for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful community celebration, as well as Phil Long Ford and Tesla of Colorado Springs. We appreciate everyone who stopped by sharing their perspectives, asking questions, and experiencing electric vehicles firsthand.
