Stakeholder Spotlight: Lucid Motors

June 10, 2025

Drive Clean Colorado is proud to spotlight one of our members, Lucid Motors. As an electric vehicle manufacturer, Lucid brings a unique perspective to advancing clean transportation through innovation, design, and performance. Lucid has been an active partner in our outreach efforts, joining several recent Ride & Drive events to give Coloradans the opportunity to experience their vehicles firsthand and learn more about EV ownership. Through these events and their ongoing commitment to electric vehicle education, Lucid is helping expand awareness and excitement around EVs across the state. Read on to learn more about Lucid Motors and their role in accelerating Colorado’s clean transportation future:

Can you tell us about who you are and your role at Lucid Motors?
Hi! I’m Megan Lafferty, and I’m the Market Leader for Lucid Motors in Colorado & Utah (while also supporting our surrounding states). My role centers around building relationships in the community, driving awareness of Lucid’s innovative technology, and creating unforgettable experiences for current and future Lucid owners. Every day, I get to share our mission of sustainable mobility with curious drivers—and help them realize luxury and performance don’t have to come at the cost of the planet.

What makes Lucid Motors unique from other EV manufacturers?
Lucid takes a clean-sheet approach to electric vehicles. We don’t just build EVs—we engineer them from the ground up for efficiency, performance, and sustainability. With industry-leading range, cutting-edge in-house technology, and stunning design, Lucid sets a new standard in the EV space. We like to say we “compromise nothing,” and that shows up in everything from our powertrains to our customer experience.

What are Lucid Motors’ goals and current projects?
Right now, our team is fully focused on the Lucid Gravity—our first luxury SUV. It’s an exciting next step for the brand and one that we know will resonate strongly in a place like Colorado, where performance, space, and sustainability all matter. Alongside that, we’re working to expand Lucid’s footprint and market share across the Mountain region. Whether it’s building new community partnerships or creating more opportunities for test drives, we’re committed to helping more people experience what it means to compromise nothing.

Why are you a member with Drive Clean Colorado?
Because I believe in community-first solutions to climate challenges. Drive Clean Colorado aligns with my core values of education, equity, and innovation in the EV space. It’s not just about selling cars—it’s about changing minds, building infrastructure, and making clean transportation the norm.

Is there anything else you would like to add? (upcoming events, news, etc.)
We’ve got some exciting events coming up this summer, and we’d love to see more familiar (and new!) faces out there. Keep an eye out for Lucid Gravity updates—we promise it’ll be worth the wait. And of course, if you’re ever near Cherry Creek, stop by the Studio and say hello!

Drive Clean Colorado has been an incredible partner in connecting us with local communities, policy leaders, and sustainability advocates. Through test drive events, fleet electrification conversations, and public outreach, DCC helps us meet people where they are—literally and figuratively—on their EV journey. We’d love to keep expanding these touchpoints together and bring Lucid to even more neighborhoods across the state.
