Can you tell us about who you are and your role at Fleet EForce?

Hello, I’m Cory Runnells and I have the pleasure of working at Fleet EForce as their Business Development Director. My position is focused on the continued operational growth of our business. This entails numerous tasks, such as market research, prospecting, management, opportunity identification, and implementation. I enjoy the fact that I’m able to establish a relationship with our clients built on trust knowing that our team is in such a great position to assist their fleets.

What makes Fleet EForce special or stand out?

Fleet EForce is quickly becoming the go-to company to fully support anything needed for commercial EVs. We provide diagnosis, remote support, on-site repair, parts, and preventative maintenance for an increasing number of EV vans, shuttles, buses, and trucks. Currently, we work with transit agencies and school districts across the US and Canada. Our roster includes Proterra, Lion Electric, Lightning eMotors, New Flyer, and Gillig to name a few manufacturers that we frequently deal with. What sets Fleet EForce apart is our nationwide technician coverage, variety of brands that we can support, and our expertise in the industry. No brand is too small or too big; we want to ensure that as many commercial EVs remain on the road as possible.

What are Fleet EForce’s goals and upcoming projects?

Even though some funding has been taken away within the last year, we continue to see a desire from so many agencies to push forward with their manufacturer orders and continual use of commercial EVs. The trajectory hasn’t slowed down and EVs are still the direction of the future. There are even now a plethora of schools and transit agencies that continue to pursue their mission of electrifying their fleets. As our network of distributors grows, we are finding opportunities to help the industry in ways that we’ve never expected, such as becoming distributor partners for ChargePoint and Tritium chargers.

Why are you a member with Drive Clean Colorado?

Drive Clean Colorado has been very instrumental in a variety of ways for Fleet EForce. DCC allows us to network with so many parts of the industry that we might not have had the opportunity to, such as by hosting the Expo & Summit at Empower Field at Mile High. The avenues that DCC opens cannot be understated; it provides a platform for collaboration, providing ideas on how to move forward collectively with those who share a similar desire for sustainability. It also allows those that may not have industry knowledge to receive education through public events. It seems like every event I’ve attended in Colorado so far has Drive Clean Colorado present. Their vision, scope, and drive is everywhere.

Is there anything else you would like to add? (upcoming events, news, etc.)

As Fleet EForce enters its third full year of business, one of the most exciting things coming is our second warehouse, which will open shortly in Sacramento, California. We were able to procure all the parts that Lion Electric previously owned in the US and will house them at this location. This allows us to provide service in much closer proximity to those in the middle and northern California area. I have personally been tasked with setting up and managing this facility as we continue our journey. We also persist in expanding into new vehicle manufacturers to help any commercial EV on the road. I am fortunate to be a part of everything that Fleet EForce continues to accomplish and can’t wait to see what else 2026 might hold!
