Hydrogen Car on Display at the Denver Auto Show

New Day Hydrogen and Drive Clean Colorado are representing hydrogen at the Denver Auto Show

New Day Hydrogen, a Denver-area based company that is focused on establishing hydrogen microhub fueling stations in Colorado and beyond, has brought the other EV, a hydrogen fuel cell Electric Vehicle, to the 2023 Denver Auto Show.  The vehicle, a Toyota Mirai (Gen 1), is on loan to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from Toyota.  This is a true zero-emission vehicle, emitting only water vapor.  It is a true electric vehicle, with the same instant torque, low noise, and low vibration as a battery electric vehicle, but it is powered by a tank of hydrogen instead of a heavy battery pack.

“We are thrilled to be showcasing hydrogen at the Denver Auto Show!  This opportunity provides us a chance to highlight to the public the other type of electric vehicle on the market, the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, and to discuss the role that hydrogen can play in our nationwide and statewide efforts to decarbonize,” said Buford Barr, the COO of New Day Hydrogen.

“We support the use of all low emission fuels here in Colorado and are delighted to see such a large representation of battery electric vehicles and, through the efforts of New Day Hydrogen, the presence of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles as well, at the Denver Auto Show,” said Bonnie Trowbridge, Executive Director of Drive Clean Colorado.

Personnel from both New Day Hydrogen and Drive Clean Colorado will be present at the 2023 Denver Auto Show that runs from Wednesday, April 12, through Sunday, April 16.  Please feel free to stop us and discuss the role of alternative fuels, batteries, and hydrogen in transportation for today and beyond.
