What has been the most rewarding aspect of your involvement with Drive Clean Colorado?
The most rewarding aspect has been growing my relationship with community members and witnessing their passion and kindheartedness for the people they serve.
How does your work at Drive Clean Colorado impact the communities you serve?
A common barrier we hear stakeholders or the general public discuss is the lack of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. As a ReCharge coach it feels rewarding to know that I am addressing this barrier by working with workplaces and multifamily housing on the Charge Ahead Colorado grant to get more charging installed throughout Colorado.
What is one project or initiative you’re excited to be working on?
I’m excited to continue expanding my work into rural and disproportionally impacted communities! Through Charging Smart we will be working with rural towns to focus on EV Readiness planning and address a multitude of other transportation needs.
What sparked your interest to work in the clean transportation space?
I took an urban geography class my last year of college that opened my eyes to the impact of city design and transportation on our daily health and happiness. Transportation is a necessity that I feel is often overlooked. I was motivated to learn more about what can be done to improve clean transportation for all communities, especially low-income and historically marginalized communities.
