Meet the Team: Jessica Wright

November 19, 2024

Meet Jessica Wright, our Program Director!
Jessica joined the Drive Clean Colorado team in September 2024 and has already made a significant impact. She began her sustainability journey at the New Jersey Sustainable State Institute (NJSSI) and has launched operations and marketing departments for multiple organizations throughout her career. With extensive leadership and sales experience, Jessica is dedicated to advancing clean energy, local sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Outside of work, Jessica is a proud mother of three daughters and enjoys skiing and scuba diving, embracing the beauty of both the mountains and the sea. We are thrilled to have Jessica on our team and look forward to continuing to drive positive change together!

What sparked your interest to work in the clean transportation space?
Sustainability has always been important to me in my personal life, and I made a very intentional choice to move into the clean transportation and sustainability professional space. Applying my experience as a department lead and marketer towards an initiative I care about and that positively impacts the lives of others is extremely important to me.

What is one project or initiative you’re most excited to be working on?
Charging Smart is an incredible program that provides a framework for all types of communities, from small rural towns to the largest city in the state, to support EV infrastructure and accommodate a true EV lifestyle.  I love the ability to help connect community leaders.

What does being a Clean Cities and Communities Coalition mean to you?
To me, being a coalition is participating in a long-lasting program that focuses on the health and well-being of our communities including the air we breathe and the water we drink. Through a variety of clean transportation efforts, I look forward to seeing how we can continue to improve the overall health of our state residents.

How does your work at Drive Clean Colorado impact the communities you serve?
Helping communities formalize their commitments to sustainability through a variety of programs, and access funding to do good work that improves the lives of community residents not only feels good, but has lasting impacts in a community.  I am so proud to say that the work I do genuinely helps people.

Is there anything you’d like to share about yourself?
I am a proud mother of three young daughters, and there is nothing more important to me than their future and the security of their longevity. I believe that the work we do today sets up a brighter future for them.
